definition- resistance to change the motion of an object
                if the object is at rest, it will take a force to get the object moving
                if the object is moving, it will take a  force to change the magnitude or direction of the motion.
 

 The wall act (force) on the truck, the truck stops, however, the wall does not act on the blocks, therefore, the wall did not overcome the inertia of the blocks
