L: Acceleration

    Background Information:  Write a background about acceleration using your notes.
 
 
 
 
 
 

 
     Purpose: Look over the procedure and discussion to write your purpose.
 
 

    Materials:
        Hot Wheel Tracks
        Ball bearings
        books/blocks

    Procedures
            Attach the hot wheel tracks so that all forms of acceleration of a car can be observed.
          Run the ball bearing or car through the track and observe it motion as it accelerates around the track.
 

    Discussion
        What are the different ways that the car could accelerate?  Explain how you observed this giving examples of your car.
 

        How did you arrange the track so the car was able to have positive acceleration?
 

        How did you arrange the track so the ar was able to have acceleration due to change in direction?
 

        Sketch your track and label the areas that represent the three different types of acceleration.
