we find that the acceleration rate is 10 m/s/s  

the mouse has a mass of 1 kg and a weight of 10 N if we plug in this information and solve for the acceleration due to gravity  

net force 10 N  
mass 1 kg  
we find that the acceleration rate is also 10 m/s/s
