Kindergarten Sample Projects

 

September:

We are learning the different parts of the computer and their correct names. Learning to control the computer by clicking, discovering the the button on the left makes things happen. We are learning to locate the letters of our name on the keyboard. We practiced typing our name and discovered that we need to press each letter quickly to avoid getting duplicate letters.

October:

Students are continuing to explore the use of the computer to create pictures. They are learning to locate the letters of their name on the keyboard. They are learning how to open software and exit it correctly and print their pictures.

November:

Students created a holiday picture using the stickers and stamps. They were able to type a message as part of the picture. The pictures were printed.

December:

Students will continue to use the Kid Pix tools to create a winter scene and print the finished prduct.
