The students are reviewing the computer skills that they learned in the past. The LCUSD Technology rules were explained so that they will knowingly use the school technology appropriately. They will continue to practice their typing skills and are expected to type 15 WPM accurately by the end of fourth grade. They are using the Internet appropriately to research topics that align with their curriculum. Evaluating web sites is necessary and the tips for doing so will be taught. They are demonstrating file management skills by organizing their folder, creating sub folders, moving files, saving current work in their folders on the school network server. They will create multimedia projects, importing images and text from other sources, that align with the fourth grade curriculum. They will learn the correct way to create a works cited page enabling them to account for the pictures and data that is collected for their research reports.
