7. Student rating of the book (1 the highest, 5 the lowest): 1.5

8. Main conflict in the book: Juliet, a painfully shy girl, is blessed (or rather, cursed) with a magical amulet that makes any boy or man that sees her fall instantly in love with her. Unfortunately though, it won’t come off.

9. Setting of the book: (place and time) in Venus Harbor, a seashore town, near Valentine’s Day.

10. Main Characters and part they play in the book:
(1) Juliet, the girl who buys the necklace.
(2) Mr. Elves a magic shop owner who may be able to help Juliet.

11. Are the characters believable and interesting?
Yes, Juliet is a teased, unpopular girl who simply doesn’t like attention.

12. One excellent direct quotation from the book: (include who said it, page number, and use
quotation marks!) “Ah, Helen of Troy, the face that launched a thousand ships!” Mr. Dove said. (p.93)

13. Good reasons to read the book: if you like Greek mythology, than you will like this book because there are three goddesses, Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite, who help Juliet find her way back to normal.

14. Any reasons not to read the book? Not really, it may start to become boring for some people, but other than that, no.

15. Did you like this book or not? And why…. I loved this book because it had almost everything I like, romance, mythology, even talking rats!
