Main conflict in the book: Joey is going to visit his dad for the first time in ten years during the summer, but his mom isn’t sure about sending him there because his dad has many problems such as drinking alcohol, lying, and smoking. He has also been to jail once for being stupid and biting someone’s nose off.

9. Setting of the book: (place and time) this book mostly took place at Carters (Joey’s dad) house during the summer time.

10. Main Characters and part they play in the book:
(1)Joey Pigza plays the son of Carter, his dad, and his mom; he is also the star pitcher of his baseball
team, which his dad is coaching.
(2) Carter Pigza who plays Joey’s dad and the coach of a little league because of community service.

11. Are the characters believable and interesting? Yes, because all the activities that they do are realistic, and they are interesting like when Joey becomes the star pitcher in his league and also like when Joey accidentally threw a dart into Pablo’s (his dog) ear and it made a piercing.
