4. Author of Book: E.D. Baker
5. Year the book was published: 2004
6. Genre: Fiction/Fantasy
7. Student rating of the book (1 the highest, 5 the lowest): I would give this book a rating of 1.
8. Main conflict in the book:
After kissing a frog named Eadric, the young princess, Emeralda, turns into a frog. She goes on a quest to be turned back into the clumsy, ungraceful princess she was before.

9. Setting of the book: (place and time)
This book takes place in a sort of advanced medieval period. It mostly takes place in a swamp and a royal castle.

10. Main Characters and part they play in the book:
(1)The main characters are Princess Emeralda (Emma), Prince Eadric, & Emma’s aunt, the kind witch, Grassina.
(2) Emma is the most important character and is the girl who is turned into a frog. Eadric is the prince Emma meets when she becomes a frog. Grassina turns Emma and Eadric back into humans and is Emma’s aunt.

11. Are the characters believable and interesting?
In a way these characters are believable except for one. Grassina is not very believable because she is a witch. Even though, this makes the characters very exciting and fun to read about.

12. One excellent direct quotation from the book: (include who said it, page number, and use
quotation marks!)
“My days as a frog had taught me many things, most of which I had long suspected.” Said Princess Emma. (Pg. 214)

13. Good reasons to read the book:
This book will capture you and will make you want to keep reading it. It’s fun characters and high-spirited plot will surely hook you to this great book.

14. Any reasons not to read the book?
This book feels like it doesn’t end but it is the first in a series so it keeps going. Other than this, this book has no reasons not to read it.

15. Did you like this book or not? And why….
I absolutely liked this book because I couldn’t stop reading. I also liked the playful characters and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

3. Complete Book Title: The Princess Frog
4. Author of Book: E.D. Baker
5. Year the book was published: 2002
6. Genre: Fantasy
7. Student rating of the book (1 the highest, 5 the lowest): 1

8. Main conflict in the book: The main conflict in the book was when Emma the princess kissed a frog prince named Eadric on the lips. Unfortunately she turned into a frog to and has to visit her magical aunt named Grassina to change her back.

9. Setting of the book: (place and time) The time period was in the past, though there were many different settings in this book but one in particular was the swamp were she kissed the frog and stayed until they thought of a plan to have them turn back into human beings.

10. Main Characters and part they play in the book:
(1) Emma
(2) Eadric

11. Are the characters believable and interesting? In some ways the characters are believable and in some ways they aren’t. They way the author describes them make them seem believable and like they are actual people, but if someone does not have a wide imagination it will be hard to understand the characters' problems.

12. One excellent direct quotation from the book: (include who said it, page number, and use
quotation marks!) “The bracelet reversed the charm. Kissing Eadric was supposed to turn him back into a human, but instead the reverse happened and you turned into a frog. That should be easy to fix. All you need to do is put on the bracelet and kiss Eadric again. If you do that, you’ll both revert to your human forms.” Said Grassina on page 170

13. Good reasons to read the book: There are many good reasons to read this book because it was so fascinating and always kept you guessing. Also if you’re confused in some parts when you read the last chapter of the book it tells you how and why it happened. Lastly the way the author describes the book it makes you feel like you are there experiencing all the adventures and problems the characters go through.

14. Any reasons not to read the book? The only reason not to read this book is if someone does not have a wide imagination because you will not enjoy or understand this book.

15. Did you like this book or not? And why…. I enjoyed this book very much because it lets you believe the impossible. It also has a new twist on fairytales that lets you see stories differently. I recommend this book highly and enjoyed every part of it.
